The government has decided to conduct classes
three days a week in person (offline) and three days online in some selected
major educational institutions in the capital to ease traffic congestion and
save energy.
The new class schedule will begin on pilot basis form from next week.
Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon revealed the information at a press conference at the auditorium of the International Mother Language Institute in the capital on Thursday.
Under the new arrangement, students will attend in-person classes on Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday, while online classes will be held on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
The scheme will initially apply only to schools catering to students from well-off families, where adequate support exists to implement the blended system.
During the event, heads of educational institutions urged authorities to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during online classes, highlighting the need for smooth implementation of the new schedule.
