A 36-year-old man named Kawser Uz Zaman Babul was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Raozan Municipality of Chattogram.

The incident took place around 3:00am early Saturday in the Dhalar Muk area of Ward No. 9.

Babul was the son of Abul Kalam Sawdagar from the same locality. He was involved in supplying sand and bricks and worked as a local contractor.

His body has been kept at the hospital’s forensic department for autopsy.

Raozan Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sazedul Islam said the body has been sent to the morgue for post-mortem examination. Preparations are underway to file a case, and further legal action will be taken.
