Kadamtali foam factory fire contained after 2.5 hours

Firefighters have managed to bring under control a major fire incident that started at a foam factory in Kadamtoli area of the capital on Friday evening.

The fire erupted at 6:24pm and was tamed around 2.5 hours later at 9:05pm, confirmed Aminul Islam, an official at the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD).

Five units of the fire service worked to tame the blaze.

No casualty has been reported so far, while the cause and extent of damage is being determined.
