The government has chosen Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) Chairman Andaleeve Rahman as the new information and broadcasting minister.
A gazette signed by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani was
issued in this regard on Friday night.
According to the gazette, the prime minister has distributed
and re-distributed the portfolio under Section 3(4) of Rules of Business, 1996.
Andaleeve took oath as minister on Friday. He became
a member of parliament after winning the Bhola-1 constituency in the 13th
National Parliamentary Election.
Meanwhile, Yasser Khan Chowdhury will retain his
position as the state minister for the ministry.
