Salman Muqtadir has responded to Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed’s
questions concerning the looting and vandalism at the content creator's studio at ECB
chattar in Dhaka.
After the
attack, Muqtadir categorically blamed allies of the ruling BNP for the attack,
prompting the home minister to question why he had not filed a lawsuit after
the incident.
In a social
media video message, Muqtadir responded to the question.
He said
that he went to the Cantonment Police Station with a "big group" to file a
lawsuit over the attack. However, till 4am on Sunday, the police declined to accept the
case, prompting him to return home in a "state of tiredness," Salman Muqtadir
alleged. He also claimed that he felt "amazed" at the home minister’s question.
The police
accepted the lawsuit application only after Salahuddin decided to address
reporters over the attack, and Salman Muqtadir’s allegation against the ruling
party, the content creator said in a Facebook video.
In the
video, Muqtadir added a counter question, asking the home minister to explain
why police accepted the lawsuit application
only after the minister had issued a public statement.
