Rangpur 4 murder: Two key suspects’ DNAs match specimen from crime scene

The DNAs police collected from the site of Rangpur four-murder incident match those of the two key accused, Siddharth Das and Mugdho Das, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) said on Thursday.

Sumit Chowdhury, superintendent at the Rangpur office of CID, confirmed the development around 8pm.

Siddharth and Mugdho had already confessed to their crimes, but conflicting statements from different police personnel created confusions.

The DNA sample tests confirm that they were involved in the murder, Sumit said.
