Educational, cultural festival held in Joypurhat

To promote education, literature, and cultural development, Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s Khetlal unit organised a colourful educational and cultural festival at Naotika Keshurta Girls’ High School in Joypurhat on Monday morning.
The daylong event featured lively participation from students in various competitions, including poem, rhyme, and story writing, as well as a general knowledge quiz. Prizes were later distributed among the winners in a cheerful ceremony held on the school premises.
The event’s chief guest was Mojaffer Hossain, head teacher of Naotika Keshurta Girls’ High School, while the programme was chaired by Md Russell Ahmed, president of the Bashundhara Shuvosangho Khetlal unit.
Special guests included the branch’s General Secretary Nazmul Hossain, Education and Health Affairs Secretary Akhtaruzzaman Joy, Sports Secretary Ammar Hossain, Publicity Secretary Sajibul Islam Pavel, and members Rowshan Ara Rifha and Fahmida Roshni, among others.
In his speech, Russell Ahmed said, “The harmony between education and culture shapes a student into a complete human being. Bashundhara Shuvosangho is always working to engage the youth in creative and positive activities.”
Chief Guest Mojaffer Hossain praised the initiative, saying, “Such programmes organised by Bashundhara Shuvosangho help develop students’ confidence, mental growth, and creativity. This is a commendable step toward building an enlightened future generation.”
Prize-winning eighth-grader Nure Al Basri said, “Events like this boost our confidence and give us the opportunity to learn new things. I thank Shuvosangho for arranging such a wonderful programme.”
Another eighth-grade student, Anika Khatun, shared, “Participating in the competition gave us courage and motivation. Winning a prize feels like the beginning of a new dream.”
At the end of the programme, the guests handed prizes to the winners. Teachers, students, and local dignitaries attended the event, making the occasion vibrant and inspiring.
