Shuvosangho distributes meals among 200 needy people in Joypurhat

Bashundhara Shuvosangho distributed lunch among around 200 poor and underprivileged people in Kalai upazila of Joypurhat on Wednesday.

The Kalai upazila unit of Shuvosangho arranged the meal distribution programme at the second floor of the Kalai Ahle Hadith Mosque Complex on Wednesday (23 Sept) as part of its humanitarian activities.

Local residents welcomed the initiative, saying that greater involvement of affluent people and social organisations in helping disadvantaged communities could ease their hardship. They said such programmes also help promote humanitarian values and mutual support in society.

Among those present during the programme were Bashundhara Shuvosangho Kalai Upazila unit President Abul Hasnat Sarkar Babla, General Secretary Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Organising Secretary Shahinur Islam, Joint Organising Secretary Humayun Kabir, Sports Secretary Atikur Rahman, Office Secretary Rezwan, Executive Member Jewel Hossain and Moumita Jannat, along with other members.

Babla said, “It is a matter of joy and pride for us to provide a meal to poor and underprivileged people. Feeding a hungry person is not merely providing food; it is also part of our humanitarian responsibility.”
