Bangladesh Army chief, British envoy discuss boosting defence ties

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman and British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke held talks on Monday to explore ways to deepen defence cooperation between the two countries.

The discussion took place after a delegation led by the British high commissioner paid a courtesy call on General Waker at the army headquarters in Dhaka.

In addition to exchanging mutual greetings, both sides discussed various aspects of further enhancing defence ties, the Bangladesh Army said in a Facebook post.
