Bangladesh, India discuss strengthening cultural ties

Bangladesh and India have discussed wide-ranging cooperation and exchanges to enhance bilateral cultural engagement and promote people-to-people ties. 

The discussion took place when Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma had a courtesy meeting with Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury and Minister of State for Cultural Affairs Ali Nawaz Mahmud Khayyam on Monday. 

According to the High Commission of India, both sides emphasised the deep-rooted cultural connections between the peoples of the two countries and the importance of strengthening cultural engagement to boost the overall bilateral relationship.
