PM Tarique meets Gates Foundation CEO Mark Suzman

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman met Gates Foundation CEO Mark Suzman at his hotel residence in New York on Wednesday.

They discussed public health, child health, vaccination, affordable vaccines, preventive healthcare and modernisation of the country’s health system.

The meeting also covered plans to expand healthcare services at upazila and district levels, recruit and train 100,000 health workers, create international employment opportunities for trained health workers and develop an AI-integrated digital public healthcare system.

The Gates Foundation focuses on global health and development, among other areas.
