A very high-level delegation of Bangladesh parliamentarians recently transited through Addis Ababa Bole International Airport in Ethiopia on 4 and 10 October on their way to and from the 153rd IPU Assembly held in Arusha, Tanzania.
During their transit, en route to Dhaka, the Embassy
had the honour of attending this distinguished delegation, led by Speaker Hafiz
Uddin Ahmad, on a brief city tour of Addis Ababa, including the landmark Adwa :
An African Victory Memorial Museum–a mark of historic pride for not only the
Ethiopians but also Africans at large, the Bangladesh Embassy in Addis Ababa
said in a social media post.
The evening came to a close with a cordial dinner,
in honour of the visiting delegates, hosted by Jobaida Khanam and Ambassador
Air Vice Marshal Sitwat Nayeem at the Bangladesh House. During this time, the
speaker handed over a token of appreciation to the ambassador and wished the
best to the Embassy team.
