Masterclass on painting Matryoshka dolls held in Dhaka

As part of the National Unity Day celebrations, a creative master class on painting traditional Russian matryoshka dolls was held at the Russian House in Dhaka on Sunday.
The event was conducted by a teacher from St Petersburg State University in cooperation with the Serov Academy of Fine Arts.
The workshop introduced young participants to one of the most recognisable symbols of Russian culture - wooden stacking dolls known as matryoshkas.
At the beginning of the session, children watched an educational video revealing the history and painting process of these traditional items.
A total of 30 children joined the event, each got the chance to paint a unpainted matryoshka blanks, demonstrating their creative abilities and imagination.
Four best works were awarded commemorative badges from the Russian House in Dhaka, and all participants received small souvenirs.
