A simple change to actress Idhika Paul’s Facebook cover photo has reignited speculation about a possible reunion with Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan on the big screen.
On 13 July, the Kolkata actress updated her Facebook cover with the poster of the 2023 blockbuster “Priyotoma”, in which she made her Dhallywood debut opposite Shakib Khan. The move quickly caught the attention of fans, prompting widespread discussion across social media.
Many followers believe the update could hint at an upcoming project featuring the popular on-screen pair. However, sources connected to the film industry say it is too early to draw any conclusions, as no official announcement has been made.

Rumours of another collaboration between Shakib Khan and Idhika have been circulating for some time. Earlier, industry insiders suggested that Idhika was being considered as the female lead in director Hridoy Chowdhury’s upcoming film opposite Shakib. Neither the director nor the production company confirmed the reports, leaving fans eagerly awaiting further updates.
The renewed buzz following Idhika’s Facebook activity has only intensified the speculation. Social media users have flooded comment sections expressing their desire to see the duo reunite on screen, while others believe the cover photo may be an early promotional hint for a new film.

According to a reliable source within the film fraternity, several new projects starring Shakib Khan are currently in development, and Idhika Paul’s name has been discussed for one of them. However, no agreement has been finalised, and the reports remain speculative until an official confirmation is issued.
Released during Eid-ul-Azha in 2023, Priyotoma marked Idhika Paul’s debut in Bangladesh's film industry and emerged as a major box-office success. Her chemistry with Shakib Khan received widespread praise from audiences and critics alike, making them one of the most talked-about on-screen pairs of the year. Ever since, fans have been hoping to see the duo share the screen once again.
