Three more die of dengue in 24hrs, 833 hospitalised

Three more people have died from dengue in the past 24 hours across Bangladesh, while 833 new patients have been admitted to hospitals with the mosquito-borne disease, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The figures were revealed in a press release issued on Thursday by the DGHS Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room.

With the latest deaths, the total dengue fatalities in 2025 have risen to 326.

Of the newly hospitalised patients in the past 24 hours, 113 were from areas outside Barishal City Corporation, 119 from outside Chattogram City Corporation, 158 from outside Dhaka City Corporation, 167 from Dhaka North City Corporation, 116 from Dhaka South City Corporation, 77 from outside Mymensingh City Corporation, 65 from outside Rajshahi City Corporation, 12 from outside Rangpur City Corporation, and 6 from outside Sylhet City Corporation, the DGHS report said.

Meanwhile, 859 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals across the country in the same period. So far this year, a total of 78,848 patients have recovered and been released after treatment.

From January to 13 November, a total of 82,606 dengue cases have been reported nationwide. Among them, 62.4% are male and 37.6% female, according to DGHS data.
