Koko’s wife Sharmila campaigns for Tarique in Dhaka-17

Syeda Sharmila Rahman Sithi, the widow of late Arafat Rahman Koko, has begun campaigning on behalf of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman in the Dhaka-17 constituency ahead of the 12 February national election.
She participated in a public outreach and leaflet distribution programme in front of Subastu Nazar Valley Market in the capital’s Shahajadpur on Saturday afternoon.
During the campaign, Sharmila Rahman Sithi said, “I am not a politician. I am a family member of the candidate. Today I have come for my brother (Tarique Rahman). Please all pray for him and give him your vote.”
Barrister Mehnaz Mannan, along with local BNP and affiliated organisation leaders and activists, were also present during the campaigning.
Sharmila Rahman Sithi also distributed leaflets in Shahajadpur and Gulshan DNCC Market.
