Two crude bombs went off in front of the residence of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan in Dhaka’s Central Road area on Sunday night.

No casualties were reported in the incident, which took place around 9pm.

Rizwana Hasan, also the water resources adviser, confirmed the matter to the media.

Witnesses said miscreants exploded the crude bombs in front of the adviser’s house and fled the scene.

Police personnel visited the spot following the incident.

Earlier, two more crude bombs went off in the Karwan Bazar intersection around 7:30pm.

These incidents took place ahead of the International Crimes Tribunal’s verdict in a case against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina on charges of crimes against humanity committed during last year’s July mass uprising.

On 13 November, the three-member ICT-1 set 17 November for delivering the judgement in the high-profile case.
