Discussion, quiz competition on digital technology addiction held in Monpura

Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s Monpura upazila unit on Wednesday organised a discussion and quiz competition at Hajirhat Hossainia Alim Madrasa in Bhola to raise awareness among young people about digital technology addiction and encourage its positive use.
The discussion focused on discouraging excessive smartphone use, social media addiction, its impact on studies, sleep disruption, harmful effects on physical and mental health, and the use of technology for education and skill development.
Adviser to the Monpura upazila unit of Shuvosangho and Vice-President of the upazila Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Abdul Khaleque Selim Molla attended the programme. 
Speaking at the meeting, Abdul Khaleque said mobile phones and digital technology are important for education, information and communication, but excessive use can adversely affect young people’s studies, lifestyles and social interactions, urging young people to maintain a balance between using mobile phones for learning and other needs.
Monpura upazila unit President Md Abdur Rahman Shoaib said the younger generation is the future of the country and stressed the need to use their time, talent and creativity in the right direction. He also called on teachers and society to play a responsible role in raising awareness among students.
Among others present were unit Vice-President Md Jihad Munshi, Organising Secretary Tanzila Rahman and Finance Secretary Md Rifat.
