5 more children die with measles symptoms

Five more children died with measles symptoms in the 24 hours till 8am on Saturday, taking the total measles-related death toll to 1,053 since 15 March.
Of the total deaths, 100 died from measles, while 953 died with measles-like symptoms.
Over the 24-hour period, 1,020 new patients were hospitalised with suspected or confirmed measles, said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Since 15 March, 178,666 people have been diagnosed with measles symptoms, while another 20,474 have been diagnosed with measles.
