Measles, dengue claim 10 more lives in 24hrs

Seven more children died with measles-like symptoms, and three people died from dengue in the 24 hours till 8am Friday. During the period, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) recorded 25 confirmed measles cases, with no confirmed deaths. Since 15 March this year, the DGHS has recorded 1,214 measles-related deaths, 23,273 confirmed cases and 2,18,870 suspected cases. A total of 1,86,798 patients have recovered.
Meanwhile, 1,299 more patients were hospitalised with dengue, the Aedes mosquito-borne disease, in the 24 hours to 8am Friday.
