Inauguration of 21st ICCIT held at UIU

Inauguration of the three-day 21st International Conference on Computer and Information Technology (ICCIT 2018) was held at United International University on Friday.


Department of CSE of UIU organised the conference which will be ended on December 23.


Professor Abdul Mannan, Chairman of UGC, was present as the chief guest while Mr. Hasan Mahmood Raja, Chairman of Board of Trustees, UIU was present as the Special Guest.


With the Chair of Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Mofizur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of UIU the program started with the welcome address from Prof. Hasnan Ahmed, Pro Vice Chancellor, UIU followed by a speech from Prof. Mohammad S. Alam, Conference General Chair, and speech from Prof. Celia Shahnaz, Chair, IEEE, Bangladesh Section.


This program started followed by a session of keynote speeches from the renowned researchers in different domains of Computer and Information Technology sharing their ideas, experiences and insights. Researchers discussed about the recent work and present and demonstrated their scientific results at the conference.


This year, 301 papers from 21 different countries all around the world were submitted and only 88 high quality research papers were accepted for the final publication after a rigorous peer review process. All papers will be published in the IEEE digital Xplore. It is supposed to be a display of top class research work and will be greatly beneficial for the students and academic researchers in the field of Information Technology in the country as well as to the industry people.


In the three days, the conference will continue with 12 technical sessions on scientific research on various topics. There will be sessions on Machine Intelligence, Network Systems and Security, Cloud, Signal and Image Processing, Data Mining and Machine Learning, Hardware and Embedded Systems, Natural Language Processing.
