Cyclone Fani: BCS exam won’t be deferred

The 40th BCS preliminary test scheduled for Friday (tomorrow) will not be deferred due to the cyclonic storm Fani looming over the country, according to Public Service Commission (PSC).

The primary selection test for the civil service will be held as per the previously announced schedule, media report says quoting PSC.

Stating the reason for sticking to the schedule, PSC Chairman Dr Muhammed Sadique told newsman that they have decided to take the test as per the stipulated time as the met office forecasts cyclone Fani will make landfall in the country either after Friday evening or on Saturday.

“That’s why we are not planning to defer the examination,” he said.

The test will be held simultaneously in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Barishal, Khulna, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh centres.
