Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said government will pay fees of all public examinations, tuition fees, money for buying books and scholarships of the students from class six to class twelve.
The minister made the statements while addressing a workshop program held at International Mother Language Institute on Thursday (May 23).Several high officials of the ministry including senior secretary Sohrab Hossain of Secondary and Higher Education department were also present on the workshop.
She said, “A project of one lakh and 37 thousand of money has been introduced on this regard.”
She also sought cooperation from all including education officers, headmasters and principles for the implementation of this five years long SEDP project.
The education minister also said, “The issue of quality education was included on the manifesto of Bangladesh Awami League. For ensuring quality education, tuition fees of the students from class VI to class XII would be given through this project.”
The main implementing agency for the project is Secondary and Higher Education department. Besides, 13 co-implementing agencies will also be involved in the project.
