City people throng tourist spots despite rain-marred Eid day

The crowd of people was observed at the entertainment spots in the capital despite capital witnessed rain and inclement weather on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The city dwellers could not come out from homes due to continuous rain in the morning today (Eid day), they thronged the entertainment spots including Hatirjheel in the afternoon.  

Sources said people along with their children and other family members mostly went to visit the areas like Rampura,Hatirjheel, Shishu Mela, Mirpur zoo, Uttara Fantasy Island Park in the capital.

Among different spots in the city, the area of Hatirjheel was seen mostly crowded. The presence of people of all walks of life was also very good at Shishu Mela of Shamoli and Uttara Fantasy Island Park in the city.

People used rickshaws to travel here and there in the capital as the city streets were seen almost empty. The rickshaw fare, however, was very high compared to other days.
