A three-month midday outdoor work ban will come into force in Saudi Arabia from June 15 as the day temperature has been increased.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Development of Saudi Arabia issued an order in this regard.Under the ban, the organisations and establishments under private sector are not allowed to let their employees work under the sun from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm during the three-month period ending on September 15.
The ministry took the decision considering the humanitarian ground of the workers.
It also urged Saudi citizens and expatriates to contact the ministry’s customer service No.19911 for lodging of complaints about any violations.
