Don’t criticise my boys negatively: PM about cricketers

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina praised the performances of Bangladesh cricketers in the ICC World Cup 2019. She said that the tigers showed their guts against big teams.

The PM came up with the statements while briefing the media on her five-day official visit to China. The briefing begins around 4:00pm at her official Gono Bhaban residence on Monday.

She also urged to the people not to engage in harsh criticism with no reason.

She said, “Bangladesh have improved a lot in their play. It is not a silly matter to fight with the World Cup winning teams. The performance of our players was splendid.”

Mentioning Shakib and Mustafiz she said, “The players especially to say Shakib Al Hasan. He has assumed his forte in the world. Mustafizur Rahman has assumed a forte.”

Praising the indomitable attitude of the tigers the Prime Minister said, “Game is a kind of thing, sometimes it requires luck. Things would not be same every time. I praise them who poses courageous attitude to fight.”

They fought to the last and did not give in at the middle stage of the matches, she added.

At one stage the PM giggles saying, “Don’t speak badly to my boys.”
