The combined pass rate of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations under 10 education boards has risen to 73.93 percent this year from 66.64 percent a year ago.
A total of 47,286 candidates scored maximum grade point average GPA-5 this year which was 29,262 in 2018.Education Minister Dr Dipu Modi handed over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence around 10:10 am on Wednesday.
A total of 9,88,172 students passed the exams out of 13, 36, 629 appeared from 10 education boards, including Madrasa Education Board and Technical Education Board.
A total of 909 institutions have achieved 100 per cent pass rate whereas, 41 institutions saw zero per cent pass rate.
The pass rate in eight education boards is 71.85 percent, while 88.56 percent came out successful in madrasa education board and it is 82.62 percent in technical education board.
The chairmen of all the education boards were also present at the handover ceremony.
Later, the Prime Minister unveiled the results digitally.All candidates can get their results from their respective examination centres; educational institutions; websites of their respective boards and through SMS on their mobile phones from 2:00 pm, officials said.
Examinees will get their results from respective examination centres or educational institutions, websites of respective centres, and through internet and mobile phones.
A total of 13, 51,505 examinees from 9,081 educational institutions appeared in the examinations this year.
Of them, 6, 64,496 are male and 6, 87,009 female students, according to the examination schedule.
