Dr Nargis Akter Kanak, a young lady doctor, who had exposed herself as a story writer through unveiling the cover of her first story book for children titled ‘Kalo Meyer Kalo Chasma’ (Black Goggles of Black Girl).
The book launching programme was held at Maulana Muhammad Akram Khan Auditorium of Jatiya Press Club on Wednesday afternoon.The programme was graced by State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Zahid Ahsan Russel as the chief guest while a noted journalist and editor of United News of Bangladesh (UNB) Mahfuzur Rahman, Associate Professor of University of South Asia Eliza Binte Elahi, and Assistant Professor of Begum Rokeya University Mahmudul Haq were present as the speakers at the event.
Popular poet Rezauddin Stalin presided over the programme.
Nargis Akter is the daughter of late Nazrul Islam and Akhtara Begum, who were among 51 victims of US-Bangla plane crash at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport last year.
‘Kalo Meyer Kalo Chasma’ is a collection of short stories. It also includes a story of the tragic US-Bangla plane crash incident.
Publishing house Pata published the book while Aleya Begum Alo also the publisher designed the cover of the book.
