Madrasa student found dead in Bagerhat, step-mother held

Police recovered the body of a madrasa student beside a toilet at Bodlibhanga village in Morelganj upazila on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Siam Mollah,6, son of Miraz Mollah of Bodlibhanga village .

K M Azizul Islam, officer-in-charge of Morelganj police station said Siam, who used to live with his step-mother, remained missing since Sunday evening.

Police detained his step-mother Ferdousi on suspicion after the incident and interrogated her.

Later according to her statement, police recovered the body digging soil beside the toilet of the house.

Ferdousi confessed that she strangled the body to death as per her previous plan and buried the body under soil, said the OC.

Siam’s grandmother Sahela Begum filed  a murder case.
