‘Bangladeshi national’ held with 50,000 pieces of Yaba pills in Tripura

Indian police arrested a suspected Bangladeshi drug dealer along with 50,000 pieces of Yaba pills in a raid at Nagerjala Bus Stand area in Agartal of Tripura on Sunday night.

The arrestee is identified as Abdul Kashem, hailing from Rangamura area of Bangladesh Border in Sonamura.

Confirming the news, Selim Mia, officer-in-charge (OC) of AD Nagar Police Station, said acting on a tip-off, a team of law enforcers conducted the drive in a Sonamura-bound bus from Agartal at the area and arrested him with 50,000 pieces of Yaba pills.

A case has been filed against him under the anti-drug act, he said.
