JKKNIUTA hosts discussion on Aug 15

A discussion meeting was held at Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University on Wednesday to commemorate National Mourning Day.
Former Vice-Chancellor of Jagannath University Prof Dr Mizanur Rahman attended the discussion meeting organised by the Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University Teachers' Association (JKKNIUTA). Nazrul University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Soumitra Sekhar spoke as the chief guest.
Prof Soumitra urged everyone to unite under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the successful realisation of Bangabandhu's dream and to complete his unfinished work.
He urged young generation to play a leading role in establishing a non-sectarian, humane and inclusive society and building a smart Bangladesh based on technology and knowledge.
In the discussion Prof Dr Mizanur Rahman said, the best creation of man is the state, the world without the state is unimaginable. And the creator of our country called Bangladesh is Bangabandhu. The modern independent state in this subcontinent is the product of Bangabandhu's thinking and the struggle of a long movement under his leadership.
Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and President of the Teachers' Association Prof Dr Md Riyad Hasan chaired the meeting while Treasurer Prof Dr Ataur Rahman presented as a special guest.
Zannatul Ferdous, general secretary of the teachers' association, gave the welcome speech and discussed by the dean of the Faculty of Social Science Prof Dr Md Nazrul Islam and dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof Dr Musharrat Shabnam. Registrar Dr Md Humayun Kabir, proctor Shanjay Kumar Mukherjee, teachers, officials and students were also present.
