First international science fair to start at DRMC tomorrow

The Dhaka Residential Model College (DRMC) Science Club is going to organise a four-day International Science Fair on its campus, the first of its kind, tomorrow.
The Daily Sun is serving as the media partner for the event, which is being organised under the sponsorship of Bashundhara Group, a top business body in Bangladesh, reports a press release.
Codeavour 1.0 is among the key highlights of the 15th DRMC National Science Competition this year and the winners of the event will subsequently advance to international-level competitions.
The top 10 teams among the contestants participating in the competition will represent Bangladesh in the Codeavour 5.0 competition to be held in Dubai later.
They will compete internationally and showcase their innovative projects. The national-level selection process will be conducted through Codeavour Bangladesh 1.0.
Md Shafqat Rahman, the Quizzing Secretary of the DRMC Science Club, informed the Daily Sun that university-level students from the third grade and above are participating in the competition, which will be conducted in four categories.
Students in classes VI to VIII will participate in the junior category, while those in classes IX and X will compete in the secondary category. Students in classes XI and XII will participate in the senior category, and university-level students will compete in separate categories.
The fair features various competitions, including the Project Display Competition, Wall Magazine, Scrapbook, Photography, Science-Based Image exhibitions, Olympiad Quiz, Robotics Competition, and Gaming.
The organization asserts that this competition is an exceptional initiative aimed at uniting science enthusiasts from across the country.
The initiative aims to nurture a more scientific mindset among youth, with their activities reflecting the essence of science.
This year's event will extend beyond the national border, showcasing Bangladesh's talent on the global stage.
The organizers also strive to involve students in a variety of activities, fostering a lifelong affinity for science.
