The government has removed Education Ministry's Senior Secretary Siddiq Jubayer from his current post.

Information Adviser Mahfuj Alam confirmed the development in a facebook post on Tuesday afternoon.

The withdrawal comes amid violent protests by a section of students at Secretariat, demanding the removal of education adviser, and secretary.
