Mayor Taposh's associate Mostafizur remanded

A Dhaka court on Tuesday placed former Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh's close associate Mostafizur Rahman Tutu on a two-day remand in Abdullah Siddique murder case tied to the July uprising.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abdul Wahab passed the order after police produced the accused before the court, seeking a seven-day remand for him.
Earlier in the day, CID arrested Tutu from the capital’s Badda area.
The case document states that Abdullah took part in the July movement on 4 August, where he was allegedly shot by the accused. Doctors declared him dead after he was taken to a hospital.
A case was filed on 19 September with Dhanmondi Police Station regarding the incident.
