Labonno Chy’s new journey

Labonno Chowdhury, who caught the audience’s attention with her portrayal of Ruby in the film “Bonolota Express”, is set to take on a central role in a new web film, “Mission DDLJ”. Directed by Asif Jahangir, the film revolves around a sweet love story inspired by the romance of the 1990s.

Speaking about “Mission DDLJ”, Labonno said she has always been fond of love stories from the 90s, which motivated her to sign the project. In the film, she plays Diya, a lively and somewhat fickle young woman who dreams of experiencing a classic 90s-style romance of her own.

The web film marks Labonno’s first pairing with Saad Salmi Naovi. “Mission DDLJ” is scheduled to premiere on an OTT platform by the end of September.

Labonno began her career as an advertising model while she was in first grade. She later appeared as a child artiste in acclaimed films such as “Debi” and “Krishno Pokkho”. However, transitioning from a child artiste to a leading actress was not easy. According to Labonno, she had to work hard to establish a new identity for herself among audiences and directors.
