BRAC Bank’s foreign remittance inflows crossed US$2.5 billion in the first nine months of 2026, exceeding its previous full-year record of $2.2 billion set in 2025.

The bank is now targeting more than $3 billion by the end of 2026, according to a press release.

The increase has been supported by partnerships with exchange houses, technology-led services and wider access for expatriate Bangladeshis and their families. Its network covers major remittance corridors in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region.

Host-to-host integration and API connectivity with international partners have helped improve the speed, security and reliability of cross-border transfers. Branches, sub-branches and agent banking outlets provide access to remittance services across the country, including rural areas.

For non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs), the bank offers products such as the Probashi Virtual Savings Account, Probashi Poribar Account and TARA Probashi Poribar Account. Eligible customers can open accounts remotely through digital eKYC and manage funds, bills, deposits and DPS facilities through the Astha app.

The bank also conducts Uthan Boithak, or courtyard meetings, to raise awareness of formal remittance channels and banking services.

Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, managing director and CEO of BRAC Bank, said the milestone reflected the trust of expatriate Bangladeshis and international partners.

He said the bank would continue investing in technology, human capital and international partnerships to improve remittance services for expatriates and their families.
