MTB, Sonali Bank sign payment gateway deal

Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) will provide a card payment gateway solution to Sonali Bank PLC under an agreement signed between the two banks.

The agreement was signed at Sonali Bank’s head office in Dhaka recently, according to a press release.
The partnership aims to facilitate card-based payments for Sonali Bank customers and support the expansion of digital banking services in Bangladesh.

Syed Mahbubur Rahman, managing director and CEO, and Khalid Hossin, chief digital officer of MTB, attended the signing ceremony. Md Shawkat Ali Khan, managing director, and Md Rafiqul Islam, deputy managing director of Sonali Bank, were also present, along with senior officials from both banks.
