Bangladesh Under-15 National Football Team thrashed United Sports Club Under-15 Team by 3-1 goals in their warm-up ahead of their SAFF Under-15 Championship on Tuesday.

With the number of goals netted by Bangladesh U-15 in this practice match it can be assured that they have come to India to maintain their glory as the champions of the last tournament.

Earlier, Bangladesh Under-15 National Football Team reached Kalyani in India with the challenge of retaining the title of SAFF U-15 Championship 2019.

They finalised their preparations with an in-house practice game with United Sports Club’s U15 Team in Kalyani.

Bangladesh’s first match is against Bhutan on August 23. Although the host is India, Bangladesh are the reigning champions. The idea of ultimate football match of the year is anticipated between the hosts and the reigning champions. As the tournament is due to be held on Indian soil, the challenge is more for teenagers of Bangladesh.

Bangladesh is the two-time champions out of five tournaments held so far of SAFF Under-15 Championship. Last year, Bangladesh reclaimed the title in Nepal, beating Pakistan in the final in a tie breaker. The team have been practicing in the academy which opened at the Fortez Group grounds in Badda, Beraid in the capital by Bangladesh Football Federation this year.

Last year’s runners-up Pakistan are not playing in this tournament. Formation has also changed since five countries are now participating. This time the teams will play on a round robin league basis. The top two teams will battle for excellence in the tournament.
