Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmud on Monday stressed the need for concerted efforts to prevent money laundering.
“Trade-based irregularities is one of the ways of money laundering in Bangladesh. Close coordination among ACC, National Board of Revenue (NBR) and Bangladesh Bank is needed to prevent such irregularities.”“ACC has expressed its intention to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the NBR. Money laundering will be prevented if we can implement the work plan jointly,” he said.
