Bangladeshi astronomers join Int’I Astronomy Olympiad

A five-member team of young astronomers from Bangladesh has joined the International Astronomy Olympiad 2019 at Piatra Neamt in Romania.

The XXIV International Astronomy Olympiad is being held in Piatra Neamt during October 18 to October 27, 2019.

The participants are Sajia Shahrin Neha of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, Pallab Kanti Pal of Chattogram Cantonment Public College (CCPC), Md Atif Afsar of Govt Muslim High School Chattogram, Ahmed Sad Sabid of BAF Shaheen College, Chattogram, and Anam Bin Morshed of Shaheed Police Smrity College, Dhaka.

Earlier, the team of young astronomers left Dhaka for Romania on October 17.

 They also attended a workshop held at the National Museum of Science and Technology (NMST) in the capital on October 17 to participate the International Astronomy Olympiad 2019.
