Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President ASM Abdur Rob and General Secretary Abdul Maleque Ratan on Tuesday demanded formation of a high-level probe body to look into the Bhola clash that left four people dead and many others wounded.
“A high-powered investigation committee will have to be formed to find out whether there was enough preparation to face the situation and whether it was planned,” they said in a joint statement.Terming the death of four people very much painful, the JSD leaders said the persons responsible for the incident must be brought to book.
“Otherwise, there will be a rise in religious violence. So, it is vital to be highly cautious about it,” they added.
Earlier on Sunday, at least four people were killed and many others received injuries in the clash following a demonstration at Eidgah ground in Burhanuddin Upazila of Bhola.
