Scholastica Senior Campus in Uttara has staged “Hirok Rajar Deshe” as part of its two-day annual drama programme. Drama, Music and Dance Clubs organised the show.

The event, dedicated to the memory of Scholastica’s Founder Yasmeen Murshed, concluded on Friday.

This year’s production of Satyajit Ray’s timeless classic also marked the silver jubilee of the STM Hall — a stage that has hosted numerous memorable performances over the years.

Renowned theatre and film personalities Abul Hayat, Dilara Zaman and Afzal Hossain attended the closing ceremony as special guests, while several prominent figures from theatre and media joined the opening day.

Farah Sophia Ahmed, principal of Scholastica Senior Campus, Uttara, addressed the audience and praised the students’ dedication and creativity.

Kazi Taufiqul Islam Emon directed the play, with Shoilee Parmita Neelpoddo serving as production manager. Music direction was handled by Gazi Munnoff, Elias Khan and Palash Nath Lochon, while Shammi Yasmin Jhinuk and Forhad Ahmed Shamim choreographed the performances.

The cast featured Nazifa Waziha Ahmed, Ariyad Rahman, Azyiad Rahman, Bazneen Rahman, Mohammad Safir Chowdhury, Fahim Ahmed, Syed Kafshat Taiyush Hamd and Tazreeba Nawfat, among others.

A large audience comprising students, parents, and teachers enjoyed the mesmerizing performances of the young actors, along with the captivating music and dance sequences.
