The impact of technology on social, mental, physical and environmental health can be devastating if people don’t keep themselves in check. There’s no denying the benefits people have gained from technological advancements, but as with all things in life moderation is key.

Being aware of the harmful aspects of the overuse of electronics will help users to avoid any unnecessary pitfalls.

In the present globalized world, citizens are living in the era of advanced technology. And internet is one of the most important invention in the modern age. Every part of their daily life is related to internet in one or other way. This was made even easier with the revolution of the WiFi. It is now easy to surf the Net whenever they need it, regardless of where they are or go.

Inspite of its various usefulness, the bad effects of WiFi in human life could not be denied. In some cases, it has considered as “silent killer”.

WiFi is the name of a popular wireless networking technology that uses radio waves to provide wireless high-speed Internet and network connections. Peole can brows the vast area of internet throuugh this wireless device.  A common misconception is that the term Wi-Fi is short for "wireless fidelity," however this is not the case. WiFi is simply a trademarked phrase that means IEEE 802.11x.

The first thing peopel should examine is the way a device is connected to the router without cables. Well, wireless devices like cell phones, tablets, and laptops, emit WLAN signals (electromagnetic waves) in order to connect to the router.

However, the loop of these signals harms our health in a number of ways. The British Health Agency conducted a study which showed that routers endanger our health and the growth of both, people and plants.

When it comes to user safety, the companies which produce Wi-Fi routers need to follow some strict norms in order to make these devices safe for our health.

According to UK health organisation, router could imped the normal growth of human and even sometime plants.

Consequences of the Wi-Fi exposure:

  • Concentration issues
  • Earache
  • Frequent intense headaches
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Sleep issues

What to do to avoid the harmful effects of WiFi

However, it is a fact that it is not possible to completely avoid the use of the newest technologies. Therefore, it cannot advise the user to stop using wireless devices and Wi-Fi routers, but it can suggest several useful tips on how to limit their harmful influence and reduce their side-effects:

  • Make sure you disconnect the Wi-Fi programs before going to sleep.
  •  You should not keep the router in your kitchen or bedroom.
  • Use phones with cables when at home, in order to reduce the electromagnetic waves.
  •  Turn off the Wi-Fi when you do not use it as you can thus prevent the electromagnetic waves which harm the growth of children.
