Prime Minister Tarique Rahman set an extraordinary example of dedication on Thursday by working nonstop for 16 hours, from 9:00am to 11:50pm, demonstrating tireless commitment to the nation.

He began his day at the Secretariat, attending back-to-back meetings, reviewing files, and making key decisions with sharp focus. By mid-afternoon, he joined the parliamentary session at 3:30pm, actively participating in discussions on national policies and public expectations until 8:00pm.

His schedule continued with a cabinet meeting at the National Parliament Secretariat at 8:45pm, where he deliberated on national development, crisis management, and future planning. The session concluded after 11:30pm, after which he returned to his office for further work.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s additional press secretary, Atikur Rahman Rumon, said, “Working 16 hours today is not just a statistic. It sends a message that while many rest at the end of the day, a leader stays awake for the country and its future.” He added that 12–14 hour workdays form part of the Prime Minister’s regular routine.

Political analysts described the long working hours as a symbol of the Prime Minister’s unwavering commitment to the people and the nation. They said his dedication reminds everyone that true leadership means carrying the responsibility of the nation at every moment, not just holding power.
