Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) will host "Sino-Bangla Day 2026" at the Teacher-Student Center (TSC) premises on 17 August to provide students with career prospects and promote cultural exchange between Bangladesh and China.
DUCSU, in collaboration with the Dhaka University
Confucius Institute and the Chinese Embassy, will organize the day-long event
running from 10:30am to 5:00pm.
Around 30 to 40 Chinese institutions will
participate in the programme, offering 430 job opportunities for students.
DUCSU Science and Technology Secretary Iqbal Haider confirmed that the job fair
will be one of the central attractions of the event.
Interested job seekers can submit their CVs directly
to representatives of the participating Chinese institutions and discuss job
requirements, qualifications, and recruitment details. Organisers will also
conduct preliminary candidate selections based on the submitted CVs. The event
is open to students from Dhaka University as well as other educational institutions
across the country.
Alongside the job fair, the event features a vibrant
cultural programme showcasing joint performances, lion dances, and Tai Chi
demonstrations to highlight the heritage of both nations.
Visitors can also explore a "China-Bangladesh
Food Zone" offering traditional dishes from both countries for tasting and
purchase.
Additionally, the organisers will hold the
"Sino-Bangla Friendship Scholarship & Bursary Award Ceremony"
during the event to honour students who have excelled in Chinese language
studies.
